Part II: Makale Sunuşları

ders ile ilgili okumaların bulunduğu drive klasörüne ulaşmak için TIKLAYIN... 

önümüzdeki haftalarda seminer formatında ilerleyerek her hafta 4 makale tartışacağız. her öğrenci bireysel olarak bir makaleyi sunacak. Sunuş yapacağınız makaleyi çözümlemek için MAXQDA’den faydalanmanızı bekliyoruz. Bu assigment ile ilgili sunuş öncesinde aşağıdaki dört dosyayı classroom’a yüklemeniz gerekiyor (tüm sınıfla paylaşılacak bu dosyalar). dersten önceki gün gece 23:59'a kadar ya da dersin olduğu gün sabah 9:00'a kadar yüklemenizi bekliyoruz.

Week 01: Overview of the course & Introduction to Gentrification
- Discussion: Students will discuss their prior knowledge of gentrification and any experiences they have had with gentrification in their own communities
- Short overview of MAXQDA
- Term Project: Students will be given information about their term project
* Students will be presenting their works in the last 4 weeks of the course

Week 02: Introduction to  Coding & MAXQDA 
- Tutorial: Introduction to MAXQDA (layout, basic tools, how to code a data, how to use retrieved segments window



Week 03: Gentrification Basics I (lecture)
- Lecture: Definition and history of gentrification

Week 04: Gentrification Basics II (lecture)
- evolution of the concept of gentrification / changing meaning of the concept of gentrification

Week 05: Evolution of the concept of Gentrification and Displacement (lecture)


Week 06: Displacement I (seminar)
- Seminar : discussion on the articles presented by students (presentation of 6 articles by 6 students)
Assignment 01: code min 3 articles on displacement pressure or other types of indirect displacement by using MAXQDA. Have at least 10 different codes and 20 retrieved segments in your MAXQDA file.

Week 07: Displacement II (seminar)
- Seminar : discussion on the articles presented by students (presentation of 6 articles by 6 students)
- Discussion on the preliminary findings of the term project
- Discussion on the findings of assignment 01

Week 08: Types of Gentrification I - Rural gentrification and State-led Gentrification (seminar)

- Discussion on the preliminary findings of the term project
Assignment 02: code three articles on studentification using MAXQDA (sub-themes will be given)
